Some general questions about Vinifero.

Vinifero is an online shop for organic, biodynamic, and natural Italian wines.

We provide single bottles or monthly boxes.

Vinifero was founded by Francesco, like many of us he appreciates a glass of great wine. His favorite? A white from Friuli or a good Barolo.

Although he comes from a totally different background (finance), over the years he has developed a keen interest in wine. He studied in Bordeaux (International Wine Business Management) and in Milan (WSET up to level 3).

He runs Vinifero from Basel, where he lives with his wife, his daughter, and their rescue dog Prugna.

Every wine we offer has been tested by Francesco and by local sommeliers, restaurateurs, and other wine connoisseurs.

Every time we select a wine, we try to answer these two questions: Is it grown organically, biodynamically, or naturally? Would we drink it ourselves?

If the answer to both the questions is yes, it goes directly into Vinifero range!

We offer express checkout options, including PayPal and Apple Pay. We also offer secure payments via credit and debit cards.

Shipping policy

Currently, we deliver only in Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

If you are outside of Switzerland and like the look of any of the wines on our website do get in touch at and we will do our best to help you locate them in your area.

We will deliver the wines to the address indicated by you and in the manner specified in the order summary.

Upon delivery, please verify the content of the delivery and, in case of anomalies, send us an email at as soon as possible. You may also refuse to accept the parcel if visibly damaged.

We ship all of our wines from a specialized food and drinks warehouse and your wine is shipped in eco-friendly protective wine packaging to ensure it gets to you in pristine condition.

There will be a delivery charge of 11.95 CHF for orders under 100 CHF, but delivery is free on orders over 100 CHF.

We aim to process orders as quickly as possible; the wines should be with you within 2-3 working days.

If you made any mistake (due to inaccuracy or incompleteness) during the purchase, no problem. Write us an email at and we will do our best to fix the error.

Once the package is handed over to the Post, unfortunately we cannot help you anymore.

If the package is not received or collected at the time or within the deadline specified, it will be returned to our warehouse, but don't worry! We will contact you to schedule a second delivery attempt or to agree on the future course of action.

Unless otherwise agreed, any delivery attempt starting from the second shall be at the User’s expense.

Returns and exchanges

We hope you love your wine but if you are dissatisfied with the wine or service please contact us at to allow us to rectify the problem. 

If for some reason your order arrives damaged or the wrong wine has been delivered, please contact us and we will arrange for a collection, exchange or refund.

Please note our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your delivery date, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund.

If for some reason you do have to return a product, this must be pre-approved. Your return will be inspected and we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, you can choose between a discount coupon for your next order in the value of the damaged wine or a credit to your credit card or original method of payment. Your refund will be processed within 14 days.
