Grape variety: 100% Montepulciano d'Abruzzo.
Elevation: 200 m a.s.l.
Total production: 15000 bottles/year.
Vinification: After the grapes are gently destemmed, the maceration undergoes in small stainless steel tanks for 14-16 days with a gentle daily pumping over. After that, the fermentation starts at a controlled temperature (28°C) with native yeasts.
Aging: In used French oak barriques or 50% in 2000 liters casks and the other 50% in stainless steel tanks for 18 months, and at least in bottle for 6 months.
Total SO2: 45 mg/l.
Description: Deep ruby color. Intense black fruits aromas, especially black cherries, blackberries, and blueberries. The flavors are the same of the aromas, with a medium body, great balance, ripe tannins, and a medium finish.
Perfect pairing: Meat based main dishes, roasted or grilled red meat, lamb.
