The name Matiù comes from the family Matiuz, who were the former owners of one of the estate vineyards. During the generations, the name passed from the family to the vineyard, so the grapes grown on that parcel of land are now called Matiù.
Grape variety: 100% Glera.
Terrain: Morenic mixture with advanced level of decarbonation.
Orientation of the rows: North/South.
Elevation: 120 - 150 m a.s.l.
Total production: 45000 bottles/year.
Vinification: Hand-picking in 15 kg crates, pressing of the whole bunches, must separation and cool fermentation.
Aging: Sur lie in winter and secondary fermentation during the spring after the harvest.
Total SO2: 90 mg/l.
Description: Lemon color with subtle and elegant bubbles. Aromas of ripe fruit with hints of floral and citrus fruits. Harmonious and crisp flavor with fruity notes, and a creamy mousse.
Perfect pairing: Seafood starters.
